RD Shanklin & Associates is a marketing and strategy consultancy founded by Regina Shanklin.

Regina Shanklin is a marketing executive with over 20 years of delivering business results while generating strong return-on-investment (ROI).  Regina has a diverse marketing background and has driven results in the Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Advertising industries.

Regina worked for Sanofi, a major pharmaceutical company, for 12 years as the Senior Director of Marketing for the Plavix, Lantus and Avapro brands.  In these leadership roles, her experience spanned consumer/patient marketing and professional marketing with responsibilities including profit & loss (P&L), forecasting and strategic planning.

In addition to being a well-rounded marketing leader, Regina has a specialty in patient engagement.  Regina has successfully led patient acquisition and adherence initiatives across cardiovascular and diabetes disease states.  These programs significantly increased the number of patients that got on and stayed on therapy with strong ROIs.

Regina is also well versed in the marketing discipline based on her role as Senior Director of Marketing Capabilities for Sanofi North America Pharma Operations.  In this role, Regina was responsible for strengthening the marketer skills of the organization.  Through implementing learning and development programs Regina helped improve business planning, competitive strategy and innovation for the organization.

Prior to joining Sanofi, Regina spent three years at Saatchi & Saatchi Consumer Healthcare as VP, Group Account Director leading the advertising and marketing initiatives for brands such as Detrol and Altace.  Prior to working in pharmaceutical marketing, Regina spent seven years in brand management in Consumer Packaged Goods for Nabisco (now Mondelez) and Schering-Plough Healthcare Products (now Bayer) on brands such as A1, Cream-of-Wheat, Milkbone, Dr. Scholl’s and Coppertone.  Regina’s therapeutic expertise includes cardiovascular disease, diabetes, urology, pain and over-the-counter (OTC).

Additionally, Regina has experience spanning marketing, finance, operations and combined with her engineering background has helped her bring a broader and fresher perspective to business issues.  Regina is a “make it happen” person.  Her diverse background combined with her driver mentality allows Regina to rapidly assess client concerns, as well as design, lead and implement business solutions.

Regina received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University.  In 2004 and 2005, Regina was recognized by her peers as one of the top 25 DTC Marketers in the U.S. by DTC Perspectives.  Regina is also a LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt and Kirkpatrick 4 Levels of Learning Evaluation Certified.
